Project: PegLeg Pirates
This document outlines the game design and software development planning for the PegLeg Pirates Capstone Project during the FSU Distance Learning CS Major program. This project is currently in the initial development stages, and a completion date is expected for late Q3 2017.
In this game, players join other players online in a collective team-based FPS. Players compete against other teams for loot and experience which can be used to purchase visual upgrades and effects in a micro-transaction model, or to upgrade the capabilities of their character. The teams in this game are given uniquely designed scenarios which extend past simple team-vs-team FPS games, and focuses on story-driven components similar to multi-objective battlegrounds common in MMO-styled games.
