You must gather your party before venturing forth.

Well, big things are happening in my life once again. In the time since my last posts, I’ve moved on to Germany and spent time working at a video game company. I’m still *in* Germany, but I’m coming back to this blog with renewed interest in posting my work on projects and thoughts about game design.

As for Skyrim and modding, I’ve since put down my work in the Engine — not because I wanted to, I quite enjoyed it beyond what normally would expect with a software tool. But, the results of the latest updates since 2017 onward from Bethesda have made the engine difficult-to-near-impossible to use. I’m rather sad about that since the tool was some of the best I’ve used; Bethesda’s development of their questing system, and how it works so simply and seamlessly with their incredibly complex AI system and all other game systems is nothing short of artwork.

For now, I’ll be shifting my efforts towards game design and small game projects. I’ve learned quite a lot in my many years, and I’m ready to not just share my growth and ideas, but also the knowledge acquired. I am currently running 2 ttrpgs as the GM for these games, as well as working on various little bits of supplementary rules for wargames, messing around in Unreal, and many other things here and there. A majority of what I will post will focus on the first two until I’ve gotten deeper in Unreal and have more to show than code running.

I’m looking forward to it all!
